Artist Statement

I have always been enamored by stories of fantasy worlds, faeries, and creatures of the night. I combine the everyday experience with the mystical and the otherworldly. My work traverses the connections between fantasy, identity, gender, and queerness. I illustrate affection through narrative storytelling and character design work.  I create work about queerness because it is important to me; I want to share these different characters’ stories, sexualities, and bodies in a way that cannot be looked away from or denied. I craft these comforting images of queer characters because they all have their own stories to tell. I let the characters in the works guide me in what their story is.
